TAUMARUNUI ANGLICANS

GROWING ACTIVITIES Under the leadership of the vicar, the Rev. T. P. Weatherhog, Anglican activities in the Taumarunui parish have shown a decided advance during the past 12 months, and the work has grown to such an extent that it has been found necessary to appoint two deacons to assist the vicar in carrying out the work of the church. The assistant curates are, Messrs. G. L. B. Wilkinson and R. J. Boyt, both of whom were recently made deacons by the Bishop of Waikato at St. Peter’s Cathedral, Hamilton. Mr. Wilkinson received his education partly at Keble College, Oxford, and partly at Litchfield Theological College. Mr. Boyt was trained partly in England and partly at St. Anselm’s, Hamilton. Rev. S. W. Goulding, who was recently appointed to the Ohura district, as curate, has taken up his duties there, with residence in Ohura.
