KELLY—LANIGAN

A veil of exquisite old Limerick lace, sent for her wedding from friends in Ireland, was worn by Catherine Agnes, the second daughter ,of SeniorSergeant Lanigan. of the Newton Police Station, and Mrs. Lanigan, when she was married by the Rev. Father Locherty to Norman Leslie Huia, the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Kelly, of Symonds Street, at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Ponsonby. this afternoon. The bride wore a dainty little frock of ivory crepe satin, made on straight lines with a panelled skirt lightly trimmed with hand-made satin flowers. A spray of orange blossom at the shoulder complemented the circlet of the same fragrant flowers that held her beautiful veil in place. She carried a shower of white flowers, faintly tipped with rose-pink. The bride was given away by her father, and the bridegrom was attended by Mr. R. Lanigan as best man, and Mr. R. Mons as groomsman. Mrs. Jacobs officiated at the organ. The church had been attractively decorated by friends of the bride, with pink and white flowers, and made a pretty setting for the dainty bridal group. The bride’s sister, Miss T. Lanigan, acted as chief bridesmaid, wearing a frock of iris-mauve taffetas inset with silver tissue, and with panniers of tulle and tissue giving a Victorian appearance at either side of the waistline. Streamers of tulle fell from a shoulder posy of silver tissue, and she wore a dainty hat fashioned of tulle and silver lace. A .bouquet .of pastel pink flowers was a pretty finish to. her frock. Miss N. Kelly, a : niece of the bridegroom, made another pretty attendant in a similar frock to that of the chief bridesmaid, expressed in a dainty shade of rose-pink taffetas, with relief of silver tissue. She had a hat and bouquet of toning shades. The little Misses J. Lanigan and I). Lanigan, nieces of the bride, were flower girls, and wore frocks of sh<-ll-pink georgette, prettily pin-tucked and trimmed with shoulder posies of 1 andmade flowers, from which rainbowcoloured streamers fell to their waists. They each had a dainty headdress of tulle to match and carried a. ore‘ty basket of matching flowers. After the ceremony a reception was held in the O’Neill Street Hall, which was charmingly decked with pink and white flowers. The bride’s mother received the guests and wore a frock of navy blue crepe satin with a coat of matching tone and a smart navy blue hat. She carried a bouquet of pink roses.
