DRY WEATHER
AFFECTS DAIRYING RETURNS With the continuance of the dry spell, the returns of .milk delivered to the butter and cheese factories at East Tamaki hav© shown a decided falling off in the past fortnight,. and unless abundant rain falls very soon, the managers predict a short season, as it will soon be too late to bring the returns up again. Some of the farmers who are on the town supply are finding it very hard to fulfil the contracts. All the country presents a very dry and burnt appearance, but visitors from the Bombay district say that the effect is more apparent further South.
