Death of Major Magrath. —News has been received by Mrs. Riley, of Te Kuiti, of the sudden death of her cousin, Major J. A. N. Magrath, of the Lincoln Regiment. Major Magrath, accompanied by his wife, Lady Cynthia MagTath, and their young son, was returning from India to England at the time of his death. His father, Colonel Charles Magrath, of the Royal Artillery, Bath, survives his son, whose early death is greatly deplored by his regiment.
