CUBAN CENSORSHIP
There is motion picture censorship in Cuba now. All films intended for display in Cuba will be subject to inspection by a committee of six members, under the Ministry of the Interior. The committee has power to bar any that may be considered prejudicial to morals or to the national honour of Cuba, or of a friendly nation. This was done following a Presidential decree. Children under 14 years will not be admitted to motion picture performances after 5.30 p.m., save on Sundays and holidays. Any fines collected for violation of the decree will be used to purchase educational films for the public schools.
