FIRE AT HASTINGS

12-ROOMED HOUSE DESTROYED Press Association. HASTINGS, Wednesday. A 12-roomed house in Hastings, re- # centlv used as a boarding-house, but* vacated about three weeks ago, was considerably damaged by fire this evening, most of the rooms being gutted. The outbreak appeared to start in a ceiling, but the cause js unknown. The building is owned by Mr. J. W. Harding, of Waipukurau. This is the second instance within a fortnight of a fire in an unoccupied house in Hastings.
