During a terrific sandstorm in the Moorook district, houses were unroofed and a great many trees were uprooted, causing heavy damage. A message from Melbourne says the city is being swept by a duststorm from Central Australia. The whole of the metropolis area is drenched by showers of red rain, due to raindrops collecting dust.—A. and N.Z.
