FIRE IN BOOT SHOP
SLIGHT DAMAGE ONLY Blight damage was done to the walls *nd ceiling of the “Factory to You” boot shop at 164 Karangahape Road, shortly after midnight. The alarm was given by a passer-by before the blaze had secured a good bold. The brigade, arriving promptly °n the scene, soon extinguished the hre, which had origins. ted at the foot a stairway leading to the second floor. The stock was damaged by smoke and water only. It is insured to* £5,500 in the State Insurance Office.
