Monday, January 2 (for New Year’s Day), will be observed as a close holiday. A midnight clearance of street “receivers” will be made. There will be no delivery by postmen. Monday. January 2 (for New Year's Day).—All mails will close at 4 a.m., with the exception that those for Southern Offices will close at 5 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. respectively. Only parcels on which the “Express Transit” fee has been paid will be dispatched. There will be no delivery by postmen.
