POSTAL BRANCH Saturday, December 31. —An overcounter delivery of town letters (registered as well as ordinary) will be made from the Postmen’s Branch, first floor, between 7 and 8 specia'l clearance of all street “receivers” will bo made at 6 p.m.; the midnight clearance will not be made. Monday, January 2 (for New Year’s Day), will be observed as a close holiday. A midnight clearance of street “receivers” will be made. There will be no delivery by postmen. Monday. January 2 (for New Year's Day).—All mails will close at 4 a.m., with the exception that those for Southern Offices will close at 5 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. respectively. Only parcels on which the “Express Transit” fee has been paid will be dispatched. There will be no delivery by postmen. Sundav, January I.—Mails for Southern Offices will close at 5 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. respectively. A midnight clearance of all street “receivers” will be made as usual. Late fee letters for Southern Offices may be posted in the box at the entrance to the Railway Sta.tion platform, up to 10 minutes before the advertised times of departure of the expresses.
