SALESMAN’S FRAUD
EMPLOYER ROBBED GAOL sentence imposed Leonard George Brassell, agod 21, pleaded guilty at the Police Court to-day to four charges of stealing £46 from Bradley and Co., Auckland. Chief-Detective Cummings said that accused had been employed as a typewriter salesman. He had a fixed wage, and received commission, but had sold machines and converted the money to his own use. He had a list, and was at present serving a sentence. On one charge the magistrate sentenced him to a month's imprisonment. Mid on the others he was convicted and ordered to make restitution within 12 months.
