POKENO FIRE

DWELLING DESTROYED Fire destroyed a homestead of eight rooms at Maramarua, in the Pokeno district yesterday afternoon. It was owned by Mr. William Heaven, of Birdwood Avenue, Papatoetoe, and occupied by Mr. Andrew Gray. Insurance on the house amounted to £6OO, and there was £IOO on the contents.
