BUILDING DURING YEAR Statistics covering building operations in Whangarei show that building operations have not been quite so active during 1927 as in the previous year. The estimated value of dwellings erected was £41.542, while other buildings, of which the new Roman Catholic Church and the business premises erected by the Presbyterian Church trustees, are the chief, totalled in value £27,571.
