BRITANNIA

“COLLEGE DAYS” College life and all it implies, interestingly told, with a tremendous amount of suspense, is embodied in the Tiffany production of “College Days,” which is being shown at the Britannia Theatre. Here is a picture that is worth while, and from the amount of excitement manifested by the audience yesterday during the gripping football game, there is no doubt in the reviewer’s mind that the concensus of opinion voted this one of the best entertainments of its kind seen here in some time. The story in brief tells of a breezy young college boy, who comes to one of the big universities and soon makes himself known to all the pretty coeds, until he meets the one. Many little kinks come to mar their lovemaking which is finally unravelled by his brilliant playing in the college varsity team, in which he helps win the game for his Alma Mater and at the same time the girl. The picture, which was splendidly directed by Richard Thorpe under the personal supervision of the author, includes such well-known players as Marceline Day, Charles Delaney, James Harrison, Duane Thompson, Brooks Benedict, Kathleen Key, Edna Murphy, Robert Homans, Craufurd Kent, Gibson Gowland, Lawford Davidson, Pat Harmon.
