On behalf of the men, it was pointed out that they had just arrived from a Home port from a four months’ voyage, and were entitled to time off.
The men’s action in some quarters is attributed to the influence of a party of Russians who travelled by the steamer from London, and from whom the Customs authorities made a haul of Bolshevik propaganda at Fremantle.—A. and N.Z.
