RATANA CELEBRATES
BIG CHRISTMAS GATHERING JAPANESE BISHOP PRESENT (Special to THE SUN.) WANGANUI, To-day. The Christmas gathering at Ratana was attended by about 3,000 natives from all parts of the Dominion. The Japanese bishop was present and expressed himself as greatly pleased with the fine spirit shown by the Maoris of New Zealand. Ratana himself was in fine form and gave an eloquent address. The temple is now comnleted. Another large gathering is fixed for January 25, Ratana’s birthday.
