Trouble is again looming on the watenfront as the result of a decision of the Australian Seamen’s Union to hold a stop-work meeting or» Wednesday morning next. Under f&eir award, the seamen are given the right to hold a stop-work meeting on |he last Tuesday of every month, and because next Tuesday is a holiday the seamen asked the owners’ permission to hold the meeting next WednesdayIt is undersold, however, that the owners refused tilie applications. The seamen thereupon decided to take matters in their own hands by holding the meeting.—-A. and N.Z.
