YOUNG MAN REMANDED Maurice Chapman, aged 22, was charged at the Police Court to-day with forging a cheque for £IOO- - was also charged with obtaining jewellery valued at £2l 9s 3d and £7B 10;s 9d in money by a false pretence Chief-Detective Cummings said that accused had obtained a passage from Auckland on the s.s. Maunganui. He was remanded to appear again on January a. - __
