THE OLDEST CITIZEN

Sir, — If you will refer to THE SUN of June 18 of this year, you will see that I claim to be the oldest son born in Auckland, which I still claim in spite of Mr. Bruce, who was born two to three months after I was. We both go on what our parents told us. Although we were there we don’t remember much about it. I was born in what was called Durham Street then. Therefore, Sir, Edwin Mitchelson, myself and Mr. Bruce are three of the oldest native-born citizens left, and I claim to be the oldest of the three. E. B. E. TURNER.
