KAIRANGA FOR MELBOURNE The L'nien Company advises that the cargo steamer Kairanga leaves Auckland this afternoon for Melbourne, where she loads early in January for Xew Zealand.
NIAGARA FROM VANCOUVER. —Due at Auckland on Monday. January 2, from Vancouver and way ports, the Union Company announces that the R-M.S. Niagara will leave her at 10 p.m. the following day for Sydney.
SOUTH AUSTRALIAN CARGO SERVICE.—The local office of the Union Company have been advised that the cargo steamer Kaponga loads at Melbourne early in January and completes at Newcastle for Auckland.
TOFUA LEAVES SUVA.—Cable advice has been received by the local office of the Union Company that the Island passenger steamer Tofua left Suva at 4 p.m. yesterday for Auckland, where she is due on Tuesday evening or early Wednesday morning.
WAIRUNA FROM PACIFIC COAST.— The Union Company advises that the trans-Pacific cargo steamer Wairuna is due at Auckland about January 5 from Pacific coast ports, and after discharge here, proceeds to Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney.
THE MARTABAN.—The G. H. Scales Company reports that the Martaban, which left Westport on Tuesday night for Lyttelton, to commence is now due at Wellington to-day to continue. The vessel will later proceed to Xapier to fill up for Dunkirk and English ports.
WHERE ASHBURTON DISCHARGES. —The Federal Company advises that the Ashburton's discharging ports will be Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton. Dunedin, and ports in Australia. The vessel has been fixed to load at Xew York, from which port she is expected to sail about the middle of January.
WAIPAHI FOR SUVA.—The Union Company advises that the Island fruit steamer Waipahi leaves Lyttelton noon to-day, and Wellington to-morrow for Xapier and Auckland. She is due here on Thursday and sails the following day for Suva, where she loads on January 5 for Auckland.
THE CITY OF WINCHESTER.—The Shaw Savill Company reports that the City of Winchester will now leave Xew Plymouth on December 29 for Timaru and Port Chalmers, to complete loading. The vessel is now scheduled to sail from Port Chalmers for London on January 9.
O. A. KNUDSEN REPORTS—A wireless message received yesterday by the Union Company reported that'the tanker O. A. Knudsen expected to arrive at Wellington this morning. The vessel brings fuel oil from San Luis for discharge into the Union Company's tanks at Miramar.
PORT DENISON'S ALTERED ITINERARY.—The C. and D. Line advises that the Port Denison procedes from Bluff to Lyttelton and Wellington to continue loading for London. The vessel is due at Wellington on December 29, and is to leave on January 1 for Wanganui and Port Chalmers to fill up.
MANCHESTER MERCHANT COMlNG.—Confirmation has been received by the Farmers’ Co-op. Auctioneering Company that the C. and D. Line’s chartered steamer Manchester Merchant sailed from Xew York on December 19, and Horn Xewport Xews two days later for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Australia. The vessel is due at Auckland on January 22. THE HORORATA The Xew Zealand Shipping Company advises .that the Hororata will leave Wellington at daybreak on December 27 for Timaru, to commence loading for Xew York, Halifax and London. The vessel will subsequently load at Port Chalmers. Wellington, Xapier, and Auckland. She i* due here on January 16. and is to sail finally from Auckland on January 21. SURREY ARRIVES—To lift- ca-rgo- fer Home, the Federal steamer Surrey arrived at Auckland last evening from Tokomaru Bay, The vessel Is- to leave here on January 7 for Xapier, thence Waikokopu and Wellington, to complete loading, and is expected to clear the latter port finally on January Hi for London and West of England ports, via Panama. ; The Xew Zealand Shipping Company arc the local agents.
SURAT SAILED.—The tramp steamer Surat, which arrived at Auckland Inst Monday with a cargo of raw sugar from Peru, completed discharge at Chelsea last evening, and anchored in the stream. She sailed finally this morning for Westport. for bunkers, before proceeding to Western Australia to load wheat-for Calcutta.
N .S.S. CO. HOLIDAY ARRANGEMENTS.—The Xorthern Steamship Company advises that its usual time-table will be suspended for the Christmas holidays. Early this afternoon a number of vessels were dispatched for the seaside resorts in the Hauraki Gulf; the Waiuku, Taniwha, Waipu, and Kawau to Waiheke; the Omana to Brown's Bay, Manly, and Arkle's Bay: the Hauiti to Waiwera, Mahurangi Heads, and Warkworth: the Claymore to Kawau and Algie’s; the Xgatiawa to Great Barrier; and the Rangitot to Thames. They return again tonight and to-morrow. To-morrow and Monday the only departures will be steamers engaged on excursion work. Excursions will also be run on Tuesday, and in the evening the Rangitoto will be dispatched for Thames at seven o’clock: the Matangi for Tauranga at 7.30; and ihe Claymore for Whangarei: and the Taniwha for Paeroa, at midnight. On Wednesday the remainder of the fleet will resume their time-tables. The company advises that there will not be any early morning vessels from Waiheke on Wednesday. Accommodation instead lias been arranged for in the excursion steamers returning to Auckland on Tuesday evening.
