WIN FOR WARATAHS

THREE-POINT MARGIN WARWICKSHIRE BEATEN

By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. Reed. 11.7 a.m. LONDON, Thursday. The New South Wales Rugby team defeated Warwickshire and North Midlands by 8 points to 5. A great rally in the closing stages secured the Waratahs the victory, despite the fact that their opponents were leading-5-3 at half-time. The ground was very muddy. The gas was mostly a forward one. The backs had few opportunities. They were handicapped by the greasy ball. The local players attacked fiercely in the first spell, and kept the Waratahs on the defensive. In the second session the Waratahs fully held their owa, —A. and N.Z.-Sun.
