HEADMASTERS RETIRE
PRESENTATIONS MADE On Tuesday evening. Mr. Frank Jameson, who has lately retired after 13 years as headmaster of the Pakuranga School, was the guest at a farewell evening. He was presented with an oak chiming clock. Mrs. Jameson received an antique vase and a fruitstand. Mr. J. S. Colhoun, who has been forced by health reasons to retire from his position as headmaster of the Ngaruawahia School, was presented on Tuesday with a set of bowls and a bowling bag. A tribute to his excellent service during the 16 years he spent on the staff was paid by Mr. Rayner, chairman of the school committee. Miss M. Johnston, for 12 years a member of the staff, was presented with a wristlet watch in appreciation of her services. TRAVELLER PRESENTED Mr. L. W. McClasham, who has retired “from the road” has been presented with a gramophone and silver plate by members of the Auckland Commercial Travellers' and Warehousemen’s Association. Mr. MrClashan has travelled for 49 years in the Auckland district. He is held in great esteem by fellow members.
