BATHING-SHED THIEVES

CLOTHES STOLEN The “bathing-shed thieves” have already made their presence felt at Devonport. Some of the bathers who frequent Cheltenham Beach have had to complain of interference with their belongings that have been left in the bathing sheds, while at Narrow Neck last week two bathers discovered that their clothes had disappeared and had to make their way home in swimming costume.

The Devonport Borough Council is putting up notices warning bathers of the risk from clothes thieves. In most cases women’s clothes are stolen.
