OTAHUHU MEMORIAL

STATUE ARRIVES

Advice has been received of the arrival in the Dominion of the Otahuhu War Memorial, which has been donated by one of the residents of the town. It will be in the form of an equestrian statue, and is to be erected on a concrete base, next to the monument of Colonel Nixon, which stands on a triangular reserve on the corner of Mangere Road, and Great South Roads. It is hoped that the Governor-Gen-eral will unveil the memorial next Anzac Day. A commencement will be made on the erection of the monument immediately after the holidays.
