TAURANGA HOSPITAL

ARRANGING MEDICAL WORK At the meeting of the Tauranga Hospital Board on Wednesday a letter was received from the Bay of Plenty Board agreeing to the proposal for accommodating the old people at King George V. Hospital, Rotorua. The medical superintendent reported 28 patients had been admitted and 29 discharged, the average being 24. The house surgeon’s engagement would terminate at the end of February and it would be necessary to consider if the present system was to continue. The board decided to hold a conference with the medical practitioners, with a view to considering the carrying out of the duties now done by the house surgeon.
