HERRING—WEYMOUTH
The frock of ivory crepe de chine inset with a deep panel of silken lace that spread its beauty from neckline to hem was worn by Ada Rose, the second daughter of Mr. and Airs. James Weymouth, of Parnell,, for her marriage this afternoon at St. Alary’s Cathedral, to Walter, the second son of the late Air. Herring, of Auckland. The ceremony was performed by Canon Percival James and the bride was given away by her father. Air. J. L. Hawk attended the groom as best man. The bride wore a long veil of prettily hand-embroidered tulle that fell from a chaplet of orange blossoms in the form of a train over her atractive frock, which was made with long flowing sleeves of silk lace and trimmed on the shoulder with a knot of satin ribbon in which nestled a cluster of orange blossoms. The fully-gathered skirt was trimmed at the waist-line with a cabouclion of silk roses and tiny silver buds and the bridal bouquet of Christmas lilies and carnations gave a pretty finish to her toilette.
Aliss Alison Turner, who attended as bridesmaid, wore a frock of crocusmauve crepe de chine, made in an effectively tucked and gather style. With it she wore a hat of rose crino-
line straw and she carried a bouquet of mauve and pink sweet peas. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of Mrs. McKay, in Bradford Street, Parnell, an intimate friend of the bride’s. Mrs. McKay received the guests wearing a smart gown of beige georgette panelled with tine beige lace and a hat to tone with orchid trimming. She carried a bouquet of sweet peas. The house was prettily decorated with bowls of many-coloured sweet peas and other flowers.
Among the guests were:— , Mrs. Weymouth, Mrs. Mellows, Miss D. Mellows, Mr. and Mrs. Herring. Miss R. Robinson, Mrs. Turner, Mrs. Buckley, Mrs. and Miss Clark, Miss Angel, Mrs. and Miss Porteous, Mr. F. Cecil, Mrs. Hammond, and many others.
