“AUCKLAND OUT OF IT”
NURSES’ VARSITY COURSE
“As usual it’s a case of ‘anything to keep it out of Auckland,’ ’* said the chairman of the Auckland Hospital Board when advice was received yesterday that a post-graduate course for nurses had been established at Wellington. It was suggested that a scholarship for a selected nurse should be granted. The chairman, Mr. W. Wallace, said there was a suggestion that the course should be established in Dunedin, but the Otago University and the department became at and nothing was done. The Auckland University Council was favourable to its ostbalishment here. It was decided to refer the question of the scholarship to the Finance Committee.
