With six wickets down for 322 runs at the drawing of stumps to-day, the Wanganui batsmen made a good showing in the continuation of the Hawke Cup match against Taranaki. The home team had made 224 in the first innings on Saturday, and Wanganui had nine on the board without loss. The batting was rather slow on resumption to-day. Bunny was top scorer with BS, Kerr making 71 and Bernau 40.
