CAR OVERTURNS
PASSENGERS HURT (Special to THE SUN.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Sunday. A car driven by Mr. W. J. Freeth, of Pukearuhe overturned into a gully on the main north road, about three miles north of Uruti. Yesterday morning Mr. Freeth, with Mrs. Freeth, his daughter and another passenger, were motoring to Mokau. On rounding a bend they met a motorcyclist. The car, which was forced to the side of the road, overturned. The gully, fortunately, was not deep. Mr. Freeth received cuts on his arm, Mrs. Freeth suffered a severe shock, and Miss Freeth was slightly burned by acid from the battery. The other passenger escaped any nocticeable injuries. The sufferers were taken to Mr. D. Tate's residence for first aid.
Power Board Hours.—The Waitemata Power Board passed a resolution this morning that the public office should be closed at 4.30, but that the showroom and cast receiving office should close at 5 p.m.
