Heavy Mails —
The officials of the Auckland Post Office have their coats off today. Christmas mail is pouring into the post boxes in a continual stream. Fortunately people are posting earlier this near.
This morning 509 bags of English t Australian and Eastern mail arrived bu the. Aorangi. To-morrow 750 bags arrive from Wellington from the Tahiti, which is due from San Francisco to-day. There will also be ifl bags of mail for Auckland on the Maunganui, which is due from Sydney tomorrow morning.
Had the Aorangi arrived last night , as was expected, a staff from the Post Office would have gone off to work the mails so that they would have been clear this morning.
