TO GLEAN NEW IDEAS FROM SYDNEY SHOW
WINTER EXHIBITION OFFICIALS TO GO ABROAD Mr. J. Findlay and Mr. W. F. O’Donnell, manager and secretary respectively of the Annual Winter Exhibition, will be sent to Sydney at Easter time to attend the Sydney Royal Show, and glean some fresh ideas to incorporate in the next Winter Exhibition. The decision was reached at the meeting of the combined committees of the Manufacturers’ Association and the Agricultural and Pastoral Association held yesterday afternoon. It was the first meeting preparatory to the next exhibition. Mr. W. W. Massey, who was elected as chairman of the joint committees, advocated the reorganisation of the festival so that the public would get more to see. He thought the proposal for sending the manager and secretary abroad would be an excellent idea to get new and valuable ideas for it. It was decided that as the Winter Exhibition would benefit most its funds should bear the cost of the expedition.
