Alma Phoebe Stent. At the .service at Mangaweka the Bishop also dedicated a Credence Table, the gift of St. Martin's Guild, in memory of Mrs. Weston, wife of the vicar’s warden. At Kawhatau the consecration of the church cook place. The Bishop, attended by Rev. \\ . Langston as chaplain, was met at the west door by the people's warden. Mr. H. N. Weymouth, the architect. Mi. P. Robinson, and the secretary. Mr. C. E»algety. The warden read, on beh.i’r of the congregation, a petition begging his Lordship to consecrate the church. Having signified his consent to do so. the Bishop and his attendants entered the church and prayed for the peace of God upon it. The keys having been presented, the Bishop then proceeded to the altar and laid them upon it. Prayers were then offered at the font, the chancel steps, the lectern, the pulpit. the sanctuary' steps and the altar. The holy vessels and fair linen was then presented and blessed by the Bishop. The Bishop, seated in his chair, then ordered the sentence of ©onsecra - tion to be read, which done, he signed it preserved among the muniments of the diocese.
