REVISION OF TREATY
BRITAIN AND IRAQ By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. LONDON, Friday. The revised treaty between Britain and Iraq has been signed. It is couched in general language, and provides on certain conditions for the termination of the British mandate, and for the entry of Iraq into the League of Nations, sponsored by Britain, by 1932. The most important sections of the treaiy, including an agreement relating to the future military and financial relations of the two countries, have still to be worked out, in the shape of separate annexes, but it is regarded as almost certain that squadrons of the Air Force will continue to be maintained in Iraq.—A. and N.Z.
