TECHNICAL TRAINING

RESULTS AT DEVONPORT Yesterday afternon and to-day the parents and friends of the 250 boys attending the Devonport Technical School viewed the handiwork of the boys who are drawn from the five schools in Devonport and Takapuna. The school aims at balancing the boys’ education, and in drawing and handicrafts the result compares very favourably with the city schools.

A piece of inlaid work by Master Bentley, of Takapuna, and a writing bureau by Masters Hamlin, Warren, and Cornwall, of Devonport, were much admired by the visitors, who congratulated the master. Mr. F. J. Layzell, on his training of the pupils. Official visits by members of the difference school committees were made 10-day.
