A temperature of 100 degrees yesterday gave the visiting bowlers a taste of a typical South Australian summer day. The New Zealanders demonstrated their superiority over Kapunda by scoring 130 points to Kapunda’s 94. The scores were as follow: Drummond. Piper, Chapman, Eagleton (New Zealand), 18 v. Kapunda, 24. McGregor, Rossiter, Farrow, Casey, 18 v. Kapunda, 27. Hunt, Short, Walker, Hills, 34 v. Kapunda, 14. Rowe, Strahan, Hunt, Stone, 25 v. Kapunda, 18. Watson, Lee, Clarke, Thomas, 35 v. Kapunda, 11. The South Australians inflicted another reverse on the New Zealanders this afternoon by 107 points to 81 Although they were puzzled by the greens, the visitors showed good average play. Farrow and Casey made a fine uphill fight. Hills, Stone and Clark also did well. The scQres were as follow: South Australia, 38 v. New Zealand (Hunt, McGregor, Farrow, Casey), 10. South Australia, 25 v. New Zealand (Watson, Short. Eagle ton, Hills), 16. South Australia, 26 v. New Zealand (Rowe, Strahan. Piper, Clark), 20. South Australia, 27 v. New Zealand (Drummond, Lee, Thomas, Stone), 20. The visitors were escorted around the city this morning and later attended a mayoral reception at Glenelg.
