BENEFIT OF £IOO DEATH FOR GLASGOW MAN By Cable. — Press Association. — Copyright. Reed. 10.30 a.m. LONDON, Thursday. A jury which included six women rejected a defence of insanity in the trial of James McKay, on a charge of murdering his mother, and he was sentenced to death. The prosecution proved that he was an only son, and stood to benefit by £IOO on his mother's death. —A. and N.Z. A cablegram of October 16 read as follows:—There has been a sequel to the finding of a dismembered body of a woman on one of the banks of the Clyde at Glasgow. James McKay, aged 40. and his son have been arrested on a charge of murdering the former’s mother, Mrs. Arbuckle. The police visited the house formerly occupied by the woman and found there the missing portions of her body.
