FARTHING DAMAGES
CLAIM OF £20,000 SYDNEY ADMINISTRATION By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. SYDNEY, Tuesday. In the libel action in which Mr. S. Y. Maling, manager of the electricity department of the Sydney City Council. claimed £20,000 as damages against the “Sydney News,’ the jury returned a verdict • for plaintiff and awarded him one farthing damages. The action arose out of a series of articles published in the paper dealing with the administration of the Town Hall. —A. and N.Z.
