Mr. Clifford Hawley, president of l First National Pictures, announced toj day the combination of British motion I picture enterprises controlled by Lord 1 Ashfield and Lord Beaverbrook with tieir British subsidiary companies with First National Pictures and the Stanley Company, of America, for the production, distribution and exhibition of films throughout the United Kingdom. The combined assets are said to exceed £30,000,000. The new company plans to erect a cinematograph theatre in the West End of London with seating capacity for 5,000 people. —A. and N.Z.
