OLD THAMES GIRLS AT AFTERNOON TEA

Mrs. C. F. Reid, one of the vicepresidents of the Old Thames Girls’ Association, was the hostess at a delightful tea party given to the president, vice-presidents and committee in John Court’s tearooms yesterday afternoon. Mrs. Reid, who received her guests in. the lounge, wore an ensemble of black satin • faconne and a hat of deep beige straw with bronze flowers. The long table was beautifully decorated with tall Vases of Christmas lilies and pale lavender sweet peas. Mrs. Oldham, the president of the association, made a brief speech of thanks to Mrs. Reid for her hospitality, and voiced the appreciation of the members for the work she had accomplished throughout the year. JVlrs.* Oldham concluded b ywishing Mrs. Reid and all the members the happiest of Christmases. Among those present were: Mrs. Oldham, Mrs. Woolley, Mrs. Adams, Mrs. Elvidge, Mrs. Hirst, Mrs. J.
