MOTOR-BUS TRAFFIC

NEW LYNN COMPLAINTS The member for Eden. Mr. H. G. R. Mason, has informed the New Lynn Town Board that he attended with a deputation which waited on the Prime Minister and the Minister of Public Works concerning motor-bus traffic. He thought he was safe in saying that as a result of explanations the Ministers quite understood the necessity of finding some relief from the present situation. He believed a remedy would be found promptly. That certainly was the mood in which they left Mr. Coates. “It only remains for him to continue in that mood.” stated Mr. Mason, “until he actually does provide a remedy.” Mr. Mason had also presented a petition from residents of Hutchinson Avenue and neighbourhood relating to bus services. Mr. A. Harris, member for Waitemata. also wrote to the board on similar lines. The board expressed appreciation of the members’ efforts and they are to be thanked.
