The Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Argentine, Dr. Gallardo, who has been to Spain and France, arrived in London to-night and was met by representatives of the Foreign Secretary and officials of the Foreign Office. Although his visit is private. Dr. Gallardo will take the opportunity of expressing the appreciation of the Argentine Government for the raising of the status of the British Legation at Buenos Ayres to that of an embassy. Dr. Gallardo will be received by the King and Queen at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday and will lunch with Their Majesties. His other engagements this week include luncheon with the Secretary for Foreign Affairs. Sir Austen Chamberlain, when the latter returns from Geneva. —A. and N.Z.
