STRAWBERRY TEA

MANUREWA CHILDREN’S HOME Christmas festivities at the Manurewa Children’s Home were inaugurated on Saturday, when the board of management, with friends, visited the home, and provided the children with their annual “strawberry tea.” The strawberries were supplied by the members of the board and the ladies took out cakes and sandwiches, and waited upon the children. The president, Mr. W. H. Bush, attended with Mrs. Bush. Their little daughter Joan presented the children with her own birthday cake, which was greatly appreciated. One of the board members also supplied balloons and crackers. The children thoroughly enjoyed the good things provided.
