MUNICIPAL CONCERT
TOWN HALL PROGRAMME A splendid programme is to bo given to-night in the Town Hall by the Municipal Band with vocal assistance by Mr. Jean Delore. Weber’s “Jubel” overture. Beethoven’s mighty C minor Symphony, and Tschaikowsky’s ”1812” overture, aro the outstanding numbers in what will prove a memorable concert. The Symphony, which is to be given Jn its entirety, will naturally claim the listener’s main attention. This wonderful work, as popular to-day as it was a hundred years ago, seems destined by its inherent nobility and character to maintain its hold on the human heart for many years to come.
