SLEPT ON HILLS FIVE DAYS AND NIGHTS
MISSING YOUTH RETURNS (Special to THE B UN.) CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. A young man in Christchurch has achieved the distinction of sleeping continuously for five days and nights. He w’ent to the Cashmere Hills on Sunday afternoon and fell asleep and slumbered until this morning. When the youth, Alexander Jackson. aged 19, who is boarding at 34 JSouthey Street, Beckenham, strolled in to breakfast this morning, after having been reported missing, he said that he remembered nothing after falling aslep cover a book behind the Sign of the Kiwi on Sunday afternoon. Even through the gale and storm on Wednesday Jackson must have been unconscious.
Dr. 11. L. Widdowson. who was called in to see the young man this morning, said that he could find nothing wrong with Jackson, except that he complained of a headache. He will be kept under observation for a day or two.
