GARDEN PARTY AND FETE

MATER HOSPITAL

Arrangements are now complete for the garden party and fete to be held in the grounds of the Mater Misericordiae Hospital on Saturday afternoon next and they give promise of a varied afternoon’s entertainment.

For the housewife cooking demonstrations by the Auckland Gas Company should prove of considerable interest, while plain and fancy dress stalls well equipped with all manner of Christmas novelties and -useful gifts should also attract attention. Basketball competitions and a large variety of side-shows will also add to the attractions of the fete. A musical programme will be contributed and refreshments provided for on the ground, to which no admission will be charged. Extra buses will run from Khyber Pass from 2 to 3 p.m. and also from 7.15 to 8.15 in the evening.
