PART-TIME TEACHERS
REVISED RATES OF PAY TECHNICAL COLLEGE DECISION A new schedule of rates for parttime teachers was submitted to the meeting of the Board of Managers of the Seddon Memorial Technical College yesterday afternoon by the principal, Mr. G. At the request of the Education Department, which wrote expressing regret at the inadequate playing area, it was decided to send plans of proposed extensions. It was decide to have all the furniture and stock for which the department was not responsible insured. A tribute was paid to the services of Mr. F. J. Ohlson, who was retiring from the evening school staff after 28 years’ service. Miss Winifred Hitchen, home science teacher at Gisborne, was appointed to the same position at the college. There were five applicants for the position.
