WAIKATO HOSPITAL
MATERNITY WARD RAISING THE FUNDS (From Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON. To-day. The provision of a maternity hospital with 16 beds was considered by the Waikato Hospital Board yesterday. The. architect submitted plans of a building to cost £ 10,000. It was stated that the Hamilton Borough Council had promised £I,OOO. and it was hoped to raise a considerable amount of money from the public, and that all local bodies in the district would contribute. The medical superintendent recommended that the hospital be for poor people only.
