FIGHT ON THE PAVEMENT ASSAILANT FINED “I left home to go to the Rob Roy for a pint of beer, and was standing outside when he comes up and hits me from behind.” William Taylor, . a ship’s fireman, claimed that the blow lie had received from W. C. Dagg had necessitated some stitches in his ear, and he had missed his ship on that account. Several witnesses stated that Dagg came up and with a blow from behind stretched Taylor senseless on the roacl. “He came at me with a Liverpool run,” said Dagg, and to edify the court explained: “Bent down and come at m Accused claimed that he had been hit on the chest first, and that his antagonist had then taken his coat off and tried to “Liverpool” him. Mx*. W. R. McKean, S.M., fined Dagg £2 and witness’ expenses.
