TEN THOUSAND POUNDS REFUSED FOR ENGLISH SOCCER TRANSFER
A MERICA is not the only place where they pay big money for champions in sport. In English Soccer circles, if they want a man badly, they are prepared te pay. Latest advices from England are to the effect that a leading first division Soccer club offered the Derby County Club £IO,OOO for the transfer of Cooper, the Midland Club's right back, and on being informed that Derby wanted to keep Cooper, expressed its willingness to pay a still bigger transfer fee!
