The New Zealand' bowlers were welcomed dt tlje Marrjckville Club. Responding to the .welcome, Mr. S. M. Stone, manager ot the team, said they did not expect to win any of the test matches, but were satisfied to pioneer regular tests between Australia and New Zealand. It was ex peeted that the tests would be continued annually. The visitors played a practice match against the New South Wales team which toured the Dominion early this year, New South Wales winning by 141 to 76.
During the afternoon a thief stole £l4 from the clothing of the New Zealanders.—A. and N.Z.
