PRIZE-GIVING AT TECHNICAL COLLEGE
STANDARD OF ENTRY ! ACCOMMODATION PROBLEM With the attendance mounting every year and a total of 1,283 students enrolled for evening classes, the time was approaching when the standard of admission to the Technical College would have to be raised, said Mr. G. J. Park, the principal, at the annual prize-giving ceremony last evening. An exhortation to good citizenship and service was included in an inspiring address to the pupils by the Primate, Archbishop Averill. Mr. Park stated that the attendance in 1927 was a record. In March there were 882 pupils and in November 763 pupils on the roll. “We have continuous difficulty in accommodating our day-students and next year we are likely to have difficulty in finding room for all those wishing to enrol.” Mrs. Averill presented the prizes.
